Lovett’s Haley Hooper sprints in the 1,600-meter run at the Region 5AAA meet, which she won. Hooper also took home the title in the 1,600 at the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class AAA track and field championships at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany.

Lovett star cross country and track athlete Haley Hooper, during a ceremony at the school, recently signed a letter of intent to run both sports at Northwestern University. In November Hooper was second at the Class AAA state meet in Carrollton to lead the Lions to a second-place finish as a team, and in May she placed fourth in the 1,600-meter run at the state meet in Albany.
